For the first time, Erwin de Hart will unveil his ceramic work. Voorburg – an historical town, close to The Hague – has the premiere; Galerie Kunstraam devotes half of their exhibition space as well as the front window to the artists’ bisque baked tablets. As compared to his rainbow coloured paintings, these ceramics seem to come from another planet.

“I like to challenge myself” says Erwin, “here I was curious how it would feel to make something that reflected nothing but daylight. To make objects that lack the pretence of a reference, that are just made. But especially now when I see them aligned here together, in stead of being just a group of nihilistic objects, they strike me as a very rich and meaningful family”.
